NECROSOCIETY is an underground music collective formed in 2021, specializing in necrotrap — a genre of hard electronic music they created. The collective was co-founded by HXLX, Gorejit (now a former member) and Tsaruicide.

Necrotrap is hard electronic music with trap and metal at its core: heavy, aggressive and raw. The sound is built on heavy, prominent 808s — sometimes clean, sometimes pushed through heavy distortion — along with samples, dark textures, hard kicks, and a wide vocal range: rapping, yelling, screaming, growling, vocal fry, and whispers. Delivery is usually aggressive and raw, though some artists run cleaner. Topics range from horror and terrorism to hacking and warfare. It grew out of trap metal and now stands as its own genre, with its own sound and identity.

The collective operates independently with no label backing. All production, engineering, and releases are handled in-house. NECROSOCIETY is also affiliated with sister collective IRAQ-A-HOLICS.

Definition. Necrotrap is an experimental genre created by NECROSOCIETY in 2021. It is built from elements of trap and metal pushed loud and distorted — the 808 is the loudest thing in the mix, clean or heavily overdriven — with vocals that move between rapping, screaming, growling and whispering, and a fixed aesthetic of horror, warfare and hacking. It is not trap metal: it uses trap and metal as raw material but is a distinct body of work, separate from trap metal as the term is understood today.
