KALAKOV

From NECROSOCIETY Wiki, the necrotrap archive

KALAKOV is a producer and vocalist in NECROSOCIETY and IRAQ-A-HOLICS, active since October 2023. KALAKOV is best known for distorted beats, and on the vocal side for a low, growling, distorted delivery.

KALAKOV came to the group through mutual friends with its members and an existing name in the scene. That led to a song with HXLX, who played it for the rest of the group and pushed for KALAKOV to join.

Musical Style

KALAKOV describes the sound as distorted and close to the classic underground sound, with GLO-inspired drums and cinematic samples. Experimental flows, chaotic drum patterns and heavy 808s run through every original project and all of the branding.

• Production — distorted beats, GLO-inspired drums, chaotic drum patterns, heavy 808s and cinematic samples
• Vocal delivery — aggressive and distorted: deep, low growls, occasional whispers and, rarely, Auto-Tune
• Themes — mostly militant, with a spiritual side rather than a religious one. The Book of Revelation is a source of ideas, and horror is a big part of that spiritual side.

Persona

The KALAKOV character is a royal guard soldier possessed by an ancient demonic entity of the same name. The body it takes over (the vessel) slowly decomposes and rots, so the spirit has to keep jumping from one host to the next.
